Going through today felt like cramming a few more pairs of shoes into a suitcase that was already bursting at the seams. I kept the zipper from tearing altogether, but by the end of the day, I really just needed to unpack. The shoes are lovely, and they added value to my trip, but I’m ready for slippers at home.
I lit a candle, put on a guided meditation, and unzipped the suitcase. I usually only meditate in the morning—in preparation for the day ahead—but tonight I needed the peace and clarity that meditation brings.
Now I’m ready for the next trip.
