Too often, I catch myself operating on autopilot. The Spontaneity Project is my attempt to get my hands back on the wheel.
Here’s how it works: Each day, I will do something—anything—that breaks from my day-to-day routine. The action can be as small as taking a different route home from work or as large as going on an impromptu road trip. The point is that it has to be an action, and it has to be unplanned.
