All the same, today’s act of spontaneity was to try something called an açaí bowl. I knew what açaí berries were, but when I pulled into the drive-thru—that’s right, a drive-thru—I basically just closed my eyes and pointed. I had no idea what I was ordering.
As it turned out, I basically ordered a deconstructed smoothie that told all its friends it was frozen yogurt.
And it was delicious.
