I’m trying to become more environmentally conscious, so today, I crocheted two cleaning cloths. The disposable cleaning wipes are so convenient, but as with other matters of convenience—drive-thru coffee, plastic bags, etc.—they are not ideal for the planet.
I enjoy crocheting, so it made sense to put those skills to use! I’m not yet sure how I’ll wash them, but I’ll figure it out.
Check out my “About” page for more information on The Spontaneity Project.
A lot of yarns are machine washable, so yours might be fine in a normal cycle with a low dryer setting. 100% cotton yarns are often recommended for household goods, but do be aware that some will need to be washed a few times for full absorbency and that a tight stitch will yield you a longer lasting product.
These are awesome, and I hope you enjoy them!
