I stumbled into the weekend, and by the time I got home this evening, I didn’t feel like doing much other than watch some stand-up comedy.
Eventually, though, I recharged and felt the urge to be creative, so I revisited my stash of yarn and crochet hooks. My current project—a blanket started on a whim months ago—seemed too daunting somehow, so I opted for a new project. Looking at my limited supply of yarn, I didn’t feel particularly inspired until I noticed the yellow and black and thought, sunflower.
“Novice” would be a generous characterization of my crocheting skill level; yarn slips through my grasp, and sometimes I’m sure that my fingers have turned to noodles before my eyes. Still, I found a sunflower crocheting tutorial on YouTube and decided to give it a shot.
I’ve got a long way to go, and I’m not even sure what I’d do with a yarn sunflower, but I’m enjoying the challenge.
