Today, my friends and I went to an improv comedy show—as we’d been planning for almost two weeks. We had a nice time, and afterwards, we wanted to go out to a bar.
For a variety of reasons—including issues with transportation—we couldn’t go to any bars. After an hour of trying to make it work, we eventually gave up and scattered.
Everyone went home except for one friend, and at the last minute, he and I decided to go to a diner. Bar-hopping and strong drinks may not have been in the cards, but midnight pancakes worked out just fine.
