Today’s cold weather inspired me to experiment with homemade apple cider. Every other time I’ve tried to make hot apple cider, I’ve used apple juice, but I don’t have any apple juice in the house right now—just apples.
I decided to give it a try anyway, and then I saw that the recipe supposedly takes 10 apples and three hours to make. I have neither of those things, so I’m improvising. One-and-a-half apples and 40 minutes? That should be fine, right?
We’ll see. At least my house smells amazing!
